Scottish Traditional Boat Festival Reaches ACSTA 2019 Finals

Organisers of the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival held annually in Portsoy are delighted that the event has made the finals of the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards 2019.

The Boat Festival was nominated in the Best Cultural Event category and following an application and interview process, has successfully made it to the finals.

The winners will be announced at an Awards Gala at The Chester Hotel in Aberdeen on Friday 22 November.

Co-Chair Vivien Rae said, “We are delighted to have been recognised as a finalist in the 2019 Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards, it is a great accolade to be recognised amongst the best tourism offerings within the North East.  This recognition highlights the continued dedication and hard work of the volunteers who ensure the Boat Festival remains part of the annual event calendar, bringing visitors and revenue to Portsoy and the local area.”

The next Boat Festival is due to take place on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 June 2020.
